Using TinEye
TinEye is a free web application which is really simple and easy-to-use. To get started simple go to TinEye website and upload the image if you have it saved on your PC. Otherwise, you can paste the URL of the image in the area provided and click on the Search button.
Once the search is complete, it will show the results page along with the time it took to search the image. You can then compare the images with the other results to see whether it has been modified or not. You can check out the best match of the images, Most Changed which shows if modifications have been made to the image.
You can even share TinEye results on different social networks including Twitter, Facebook and many others or you can email the image search results to your friends or colleagues. Just click on the Link button at the bottom of each result and you will be able to share it.
If you want to share the entire results page, you can do that by clicking on the social bookmarking buttons present in the left sidebar.
TinEye extension is available for different browsers as well including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Safari and Internet Explorer.
Comparing Images Using TinEye
If you want to compare the modified image with the original, click on the Compare button below the image.
It will open a small pop up window where you will be able to compare the images by clicking on the Switch button. Keep this thing in mind that comparison will best work with the Most Changed images rather than Best Match.
